NOW OPEN!
PowerBall Hall is a fast-paced, gravity-defying ball exhibit that runs on KID-POWER. Featuring an interactive ball wall and hundreds of colorful balls, children learn about basic principles of science as they determine which pulleys, gears, flippers, blowers and launchers will project the balls through a maze of clear tubing to a centralized, elevated ball drop. When the ball drop is full, an alarm sounds, the shoot opens and the balls come showering down into the exhibit!

<p>Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas’s very successful Picture Your World Youth Photography Project begins the 2009-2010 school year with a series of workshops that focus on discovering the unique qualities of Nature’s elements. A professional photographer and a professional naturalist help students fully explore their natural environmentthrough the eye of a camera lens. Classes for 8-12 year olds take place in the morning and 13-18 year olds in the afternoon. Students may borrow digital cameras or bring their own. A million lights will illuminate the University of Incarnate Word campus for the holiday season, following a 5:30 p.m. Mass in Our Lady's Chapel and 7:30 p.m. opening ceremony in the McDermott Convocation Center. Musical entertainment includes the choirs of the university, Incarnate Word High School, St. Anthony Catholic School, St. Peter Prince of Apostles Catholic School and St. Anthony's jazz band. Visitors are invited to bring a new unwrapped toy for the Elf Louise Toy Drive. Mariachis will then lead a candlelight procession of guests to Central Market for a complimentary reception.
